Adult Training

The Diocese of Colorado Springs, in compliance with the U.S. Bishops’ “Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People,” has established training programs for volunteers who work with young people in our parish. Safe Environment Training is required for all volunteer positions involving interaction with minors at Holy Apostles. We thank our parishioners for sharing our commitment to exercise abundant caution in keeping every child safe.

If you wish to volunteer in a ministry involving youth, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator so you can complete the necessary training and preliminary paperwork.

Youth Training

In addition to adult training, each year we provide training to our youth that teaches them about their safety, rights, and boundaries, so that they are better equipped to protect themselves when safe adults are not immediately available. These lessons are presented within their youth program. As the primary educators of your children, parents and guardians are encouraged to review these materials ahead to time and discuss the information at home. Thank you for your partnership with us to protect youth.
