“Walking with Moms in Need” is a process through which Catholic communities respond to local pregnant and parenting women who need spiritual or emotional support, as well as help accessing material resources.  

A mom having difficulties and not receiving the support she needs from other people in her life can benefit from having the Walking With Moms In Need Ministry. Every mom will be paired with an Angel - an experienced Catholic mom.  An angel LISTENS to a woman – perhaps when everyone else is only telling her what to do and not listening to what she thinks, needs, or wants.  Angels receive training and have access to resources in their parish and the Diocese. 

We do not seek to replace the community resources currently available to pregnant women.  Instead, we hope to connect moms with these resources and walk with them as they access the help they need.  We are not primarily about providing financial assistance.  We do plan a baby shower in mom’s seventh month to be sure she has the necessities for caring for her newborn.  But our focus is on walking with moms and mentoring them, not giving money or diapers.

If you are here, you have likely suffered the unthinkable loss of miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. We’re sorry. We are so terribly sorry, for your pain, for your despair, for your anger, for your sorrow.

We understand because we have been there. It is the courageous families who drank the cup of infant loss, who have inspired the development of this ministry.
